What makes ExtraOrdiNanny so different?

Our owner, David Miller has over fifteen years of professional placement experience in upstate New York. He and his wife also have four children ranging from ages three to fourteen, so he has first hand experience in searching for the perfect person to care for the youngest members of your family.

Our Nanny Coordinator, Betsy Wager, has over ten years of experience in the interview and selection process. She personally meets with every nanny candidate and takes pride in arranging the ideal fit for every family we work with.

ExtraOrdiNanny is a full-service placement agency that offers a variety of childcare options to fit your needs from professional nannies to household managers.

We cover all part time and full time requests for children of all age groups and special needs. No need is too big or too small when it comes to your family. Our nannies work with all ages of children, newborn and up.

An ExtraOrdiNanny representative with take the time to meet with you to gain a thorough understanding of your childcare needs. During this meeting we will also provide you with practical paperwork for interviewing your candidates, negotiating salary/benefits, employment contracts, tax obligations and more.

After this meeting, we will begin to choose which of our nannies would be the best fit for your family and then you get to meet with them. Once you have decided on the best fit, we will complete a full background check covering the following: Criminal History, Driving History, Credit & Bankruptcy Reports along with Address and Social Security verifications.

After hiring the new nanny, we will check in to make sure things are off to a good start and you have the right fit for your family.

General Requirements

• Previous professional childcare experience
• At least 3 professional references
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver’s license
• Able to provide your own insured, reliable vehicle to take to and from the job everyday
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Fluent in English
• Willing to have a complete background investigation
• High School diploma
• Non smokers
