Nannies Apply Now!
Nanny Requirements
EXTRAORDINANNY refers only the best caregivers to local families. We
look for previous professional child care experiences such as: nanny,
day care center teacher, family day care provider in your own home,
teacher, nurse, or any other position that required you to oversee the
well-being of children. Since we do require previous professional
child care experience, you must be at least 18 years old to apply.
A minimum of 3 child care references are required, and they are all
checked thoroughly. References can be previous employers or
supervisors in a position where you were responsible for the care of
children, and parents of those children.
Education is a plus as well. A high school education is a must, and
many families are interested in nannies with degrees in child
psychology, child development, child care, educations, etc.
A safe, reliable vehicle with a backseat, is required in most cases,
and a valid driver's license is a must.
All applicants must be willing to have background checks completed by
EXTRAORDINANNY. This includes criminal and child abuse, driving
record and credit checks.
Infant and child CPR and First Aid are required by most families.
This is the only cost that nanny has to incur during the application
process, and may be done after a firm offer is made by a family that
is accepted by you. The cost ranges from $40 to $60, depending on if
you have health insurance coverage.
